Mindell Firm obtains $4.55 Million for Injured Passenger
Plaintiff Jane Doe, 31, a musician, was traveling in a car with her fiance. They were traveling westbound I-94 in the Jackson area. Plaintiff came to a complete stop behind a semi due to traffic conditions. Defendant truck driver, who was operating an empty tractor-trailer, rear-ended Ms. Doe and her fiance, crushing it between two trucks. Both Ms. Doe and her fiance were badly injured. Ms. Doe had significant head and facial injuries, with permanent residuals.
The truck driver was going too fast for the conditions, and failed to keep a proper lookout, her attorney proved. The truck driver also failed to stop in time to avoid the accident.
The parties reached a settlement with a value of $4,550,000 million, which exceeded the policy limits.
