Attorney secures large settlement for minor child

Featured in this week’s Michigan Lawyers Weekly newspaper, we obtained a significant settlement for our client, in the amount of $350,000.

The 13-year old girl was taken by her mother to a hair salon, where she received a hair weave from an inexperienced employee. The girl complained the weave was too tight, but was assured by the salon owner that the result was normal.

It wasn’t normal, and the girl ended up in the hospital with an infected wound caused by her treatment at the salon. She required a 3-day hospital stay, as well as treatment from specialists including a plastic surgeon.
