John Scott Buell
John Scott Buell joined Mindell Law as a clerk in 2014 and became a full-time attorney after passing the Michigan Bar Exam. John Scott is experienced in injury cases involving auto accidents, slip-and-falls, and general negligence.
Before coming to Mindell Law, John Scott has worked for an insurance defense firm where he gained an excellent legal experience. He has also interned for Judge Rosen, Chief Federal Judge of the Eastern District of Michigan, worked for the Wayne State Free Legal Aid Clinic, and interned for the Washtenaw Office of the Public Defender.
John Scott obtained his legal education from Wayne State University Law School, where he was a Dean’s Scholarship recipient. At Wayne Law, he excelled in the Moot Court and Mock Trial advocacy programs. John Scott led the Wayne Law National Mock Trial Team to the national mock trial finals in Houston, Texas, for the second time in school history. He was also a semi-finalist in the ABA National Moot Court Competition in St. Louis, Missouri. John Scott received the Silver Key award for academic achievement in 2014.
